Vincent Price Witchfinder General portrait bust

Did this one on a whim using a Usher portrait which I altered. The expression worked really good--all I did was make slight changes to the eyes and brow. UPDATE: Revised the body:

Was asked to make a couple of sculptures from the film.

I wanted to do a portrait of my favorite actor for some time. I had not planned to make a Roderick Usher but wanted him without a mustache for a template and so I painted a couple of them. Sold one.

Matthias from THE OMEGA MAN

I decided to do another portrait--this of Anthony Zerbe to go with the Zachary. "These are the marks, Mr. Neville."

I did a prototype of Brother Zachary and custom-made the cloak and base-and then put it for sale on Ebay.

I planned to make a clay version but as it didn't sell I got bored and did other things. Then the prototype sold so I did a clay version.

The one on the right is for myself and the left one sold less than 2 hours after I posted it (someone had contacted me the day before asking if I would have any more Omega Man items). There is a new one in the works. Will show the pretty marks when complete.

New painting for Xom project

I spent a lot of time trying to salvage a painting I did for the Xom: Intergalactic Vampire Hunter project but in the end it just didn't work so I did an entirely new one. This version only shows their arms and the sword blade would form half of the X in Xom. I went for a 1970s Italian film poster inspiration and used various movie vampires -- some distorted deliberately. A few later era vampires are also depicted. Will I end up making changes to it? Perhaps but in this case I think it is more unified and appropriate--a book cover for I Am Legend also provided inspiration (and I did my best not to copy it). I really liked working with these liquid paints---Ceram Coat. The last paints I used which had a similar quality were Magic Touch Animal Cel paint. I had seen this brand suggested as a replacement for cel paint so I wanted to try it for its color qualities. Bright but flat.

Two new videos

These show a proces of making a casting of a Dracula statue as well as a presentation of some of my work--but in a moving video format. The painted statues with the eye effect I use look much better with a moving image.
