Ursula Andress Honey Ryder Portrait Figure

This was an afterthought project since I had originally just wanted to do a SHE portrait bust as a whim, and then it expanded to a full figure, and before I knew it, I was doing a Dr. No portrait as well. Had not planned to 3d print it--but then decided to, so this completes the Ursula Andress project (and on her birthday). It is more challenging to do a woman portrait--and this was difficult due to the eye makeup requirements. When I did the SHE, it didn't look good to me when the headdress was removed, so I expected this to be harder to do. After I took some pictures, I liked the results. But I am not planning to do a full figure again at this point. I prefer doing faces and occassionally hands.

Ursula Andress Dr. No Honey Ryder print

Around 1:4 scale.

Hazel Court digital portrait

This is the type of work that probably requires one being a fan of the subject--otherwise, I don't think one could stay focused on such a task when you aren't being paid. But, I don't think you could pay someone to do this sort of intense portrait challenge. These are digital doodles in a sense since the main purpose is the face expression and although I am satisfied with most of them---the scream needs more photo verification for me to be satisfied. It is hard to get the exact photos of the pose, a slight variation in jaw position or some lens distortion can affect the match-making. Eventually, I may get something of this printed but I would leave it for a time and then go back to it for more fine-tuning.

SHE Ursula Andress Portrait statue

The most difficult digital to solid project I have done. The feathers were a nightmare. I was most concerned about getting the eyes to show a resemblance. That's the hardest part and I have found it most difficult to do with women for some reason--there is a fine line between it appearing doll-like or anonymous. You have to really focus on the subtle qualities of the eyes to get something that makes it look like the person.
